It feels good to be back in the win column doesn’t it, as the Mud Hens rattled off 10 wins in 11 games last week. Snapped a quick skid last night looking to take the series lead against the bats here. Ryan Kreidler used his Bat in the third tied at one, Bat’s outfielders had all kinds of issues with their gloves, feet, and depth perception. Still having issues when they finally track it down, Kreidler comes all the way around for an inside park home run his eighth of the year the hard way but they’re playing catch-up after that.
Isaiah Gilliam hit a homer to tie it in the fifth inning. The sixth inning was trouble again, liner to right two runners come in as Gilliam winds up at third just double away from the cycle. 5-2 bats but more fight in the home half from the hens. Jack Lopez roped to the left as John Valente scores to cut the gap to one but they fall short five four, four runs on just six hits. Always a tough break but the toughest break maybe of the season came in the bottom of the seventh.
