Play-by-play announcer
Greg Franke has been part of BCSN from the very beginning, appearing on the channel’s inaugural broadcast on January 7, 2004, and continuing as a member of the BCSN talent staff ever since. Over that time, he has been involved in a great many memorable BCSN broadcasts, extensively covering all major NCAA and high school sports in Northwest Ohio, as well as many other prominent local events. He has also served for many years as talent coordinator, involved with recruiting, training, and developing BCSN’s staff of high quality play-by-play announcers and color analysts.
In addition to his BCSN work, he has had a long career in news and sports commentary on radio, television, print, and social media. He recently authored a book on international hockey against the backdrop of the Cold War entitled EPIC CONFRONTATION which has entailed numerous media interviews and promotional events across Canada and in the United States.
