Sports Nightly Anchor/MMJ

Nicole Weaving is excited to be joining the BCSN Sports Nightly team and sharing her passion for storytelling in Northwest Ohio. Before moving to Toledo in May 2023, she worked at NTV/KFXL Fox Nebraska as the Lincoln Bureau News/Sports Reporter. She led all of her station’s coverage of the Cornhuskers, including the firing of Scott Frost and the hiring of Matt Rhule. She also told stories from multiple State Championships, the National High School Final Rodeo and more happening in Nebraska’s capital.

Nicole was born and raised in Chatham, NJ. She got her first taste of producing television when working on the CHS Pulse at Chatham High School. Her love of sports also drove her to attend Bruce Beck and Ian Eagle’s Sports Broadcasting camp, which solidified her interest in becoming a sports reporter.

Nicole attended Syracuse University after being accepted to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. There, she turned her passion into a reality, getting involved with CitrusTV, the student-run television station. She traveled across the country covering the Orange while also anchoring and producing shows for CitrusTV’s News and Sports departments. Nicole also served as a host and color commentator for the ACC Network. She graduated from SU in May 2020 with a dual degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and Spanish.

When Nicole isn’t in the studio, she enjoys watching lacrosse, working on her golf game and traveling to explore new places, especially coffee shops.
