Eagles Show Strong Effort in Loss to Blue Streaks

August 22, 2022

It’s a special day at UT and a special day across the state as the start of volleyball season picks up. The first match is Notre Dame at home taking on last year’s d-1 state champs Magnificat from Rocky River.

It was a tough test to start the season for a young Notre Dame volleyball squad taking on the defending division one state champions. Rocky River Magnificat is a team that had lost very few players from the team that won it last year and it imported some good transfers so conceivably they might even have been a stronger team than one that won. Magnificat was magnificent but Notre Dame hung right with them though it was a three-set victory for the defending state champs.

The eagles fall to a very good blue streaks team but can take several positives out of the match.
