Jim Harbaugh has made a decision on Michigan’s starting quarterback. Well, sort of, this evening Harbaugh released a statement saying Kate Mcnamara last year’s starting QB will start next Saturday against Colorado state, but last year’s backup JJ McCarthy will get the start in week two against Hawaii and then after those two games, they’ll make a decision on the starter and backup for week three
Earlier this week former Michigan wide receiver Braelyn Edwards floated the idea that if McCarthy is not the starter by week five of the road trip to Iowa, he will leave the program. After all, if you only play four games you can still maintain your eligibility for a red shirt season. Arba is set to meet with the media Monday in his regularly scheduled press conference.
