Starting off week one, the player of the week pull off pretty strong with Whitmer’s Jason Kelly taking home the title. Over 3 000 votes, a tight race between Kelly and Anthony Wayne’s Seth on London and it was Kelly, in the end, earning 35.6 percent of the votes the junior stepping up big for the panthers in the season opener.
Kelley coming into this season had some big shoes to fill with him replacing the defensive leader Jaden Gibson. As such it was special to see how it played out it was a huge game and a huge statement by him to really say that he was taking over this team as far as the leadership on the defensive end.
Jasen Kelley commented, βit’s a great feeling actually because sophomore year I mean I did decent but like it’s not how it is now I have a bigger role more attention on me, so I felt pretty good scoring my first high school touchdown.β
